“For us, at Galp, accidents are unacceptable. We have a moral obligation to pursue ZERO ACCIDENTS in the development of our activities. Our behaviours and actions should reflect that ambition, at all levels of the organisation. Each one of us has a duty to act responsibly and work safely, always keeping the respect for life in mind.” Carlos Costa Pina, Chief Sustainability Officer, Chief Risk Officer and Executive Director responsible for Health, Safety and Environment

Focused on improving the safety of our activities

We act according to the best safety practices, protecting our employees and those who work with us, the community and the environment.

Safety is a priority in all our projects and so we seek to have it present in our daily lives and reflected in the behaviours, attitudes and decisions of all those who are part of our Organisation. In 2017, specific training in safety and safety awareness was given to employees with more critical functions (a total of 80 in our refineries).

We respect the value of human life, the communities where we operate and the preservation of our assets’ value. We work and we seek to keep a safety culture alive.

At Galp, we have elected the safety of our staff and assets as a top priority of our activities, both in terms of safety and security, by providing the necessary resources for this purpose and adopting the industry’s best practices.
Code of Ethics and Conduct

The visible commitment of each and every one of those who are part of the Organisation is an indispensable condition. (HSE operational management system, Management Commitment – Element 01)
