Innovation's core mission is to cultivate a thriving ecosystem of collaboration and partnerships. When we join forces with governments, research institutions, startups, universities, and various other stakeholders, we forge a powerful network of knowledge exchange: sharing, driving progress, and expediting the adoption of renewable technologies across the globe.

At Galp, Innovation's main goal is to help reshape the energy mix to reach net zero emissions by 2050. We focus on eight main areas, whose concepts, projects, and solutions are developed by our three Innovation Centres.

Renewables Innovation Centre

The Renewables Innovation Centre focuses on positioning Galp as a best-in-class renewable energy producer in Iberia and beyond. By incorporating the latest sector trends and technology innovations, we intend to optimise production and maximise safety, contributing to the best renewable integration within the grid, markets, and the environment.

Integrated commodity management, new products, and renewable electrification are furthermore being developed and are an important part of the agenda.
