Qualifying holding of BlackRock, Inc.

In accordance with the terms of articles 16 and 17 of the Portuguese Securities Code, Galp Energia hereby discloses the following information:

On April 1, BlackRock, Inc. notified Galp Energia that it has reached on March 28 2014 a qualifying holding on Galp Energia and corresponding voting rights above the 2% threshold.

As from that date, the total number of shares held, indirectly as detailed below, by BlackRock, Inc. amounted to 20,307,726 shares, corresponding to 2.45% of Galp Energia’s share capital and respective voting rights. From the total, 19,758,036 voting rights, corresponding to 2.38% of Galp Energia’s share capital, are held through shares, and the remaining 549,690, corresponding to 0.07% of voting rights, are held under CFD instruments.
