Master’s in Petroleum Engineering by Heriot-Watt University

The master’s in petroleum engineering results from a partnership between Galp, ISPG and Heriot-Watt University. During a 1-year period, students expand their knowledge while based in Lisbon, but counting on the experience of prestigious professors and Galp teams.

EngIQ – PhD in Refining, Petrochemical and Chemical Engineering

The EngIQ doctoral programme gives you the opportunity to specialize in the Refining, Petrochemical or Chemical industries. The programme is developed in close partnership between several Portuguese universities and a consortium of companies. Every year, Galp welcomes students to develop their projects.

At Galp we know that an internship represents an opportunity for you to start your professional life. That is why we want to provide enriching experiences!

If you are still studying, you can conclude your training at Galp with a curricular internship. These internships can range from 1 to 9 months and are directly connected to your field of study.

If you have finished your education (technical/professional degree or higher education), Galp can have the right challenge for you. As you get closer to starting your career, we want you to be able to develop day-to-day activities in the company that will allow you to consolidate your training and develop your professional experience. These internships can have a duration of up to 12 months and include an internship grant (to be defined according to the intern’s position).

Galp 21

In the Galp 21 programme (previously Galp 20-20-20), 21 students are challenged to work with our clients on energy efficiency. This is a cooperation programme with Universidade de Aveiro, Instituto Superior Técnico and Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto.

By being part of this programme you will have the opportunity to bridge corporate and academic knowledge.

The programme includes a scholarship and, at its end, the 3 top projects in each university are distinguished.

It helped me grow, develop competencies and get a sense of what does not come in the books, (...) get to know the ropes of an industrial site, of how a chemical industry works and its importance in the day-to-day life of populations.
