Upstream

Galp is present in several offshore projects, from exploration to production phases.

Galp’s offshore portfolio includes stakes in the prolific Santos basin, such as the Tupi/Iracema project and Bacalhau project, among many others.

Renewables

In 2021, Galp started to expand its renewable portfolio into Brazil, a country where the Company has been present for more than 20 years and aiming to double its current solar & wind installed capacity to 40 GW by 2030.

Galp initially entered the solar power market in Brazil, through the acquisition of two solar projects under development in the Bahia and Rio Grande do Norte States, with capacities of 282 MWp and 312 MWp, respectively. The projects are expected to reach its Commercial Operation Date before 2025.

Since then, Galp also acquired a 4.8 GW diversified portfolio of early stage renewable energy projects in Brazil. This agreement comprised the acquisition of 19 projects to be developed by SER Energia, with total potential capacity of 4.6 GW, and a 216 MW cluster of three wind farms in Brazil’s Northeast, to be developed by Casa dos Ventos.
