Windcredible – Urban Decentralized Wind Energy Pilot
Windcredible is addressing a growing need in the energy transition: decentralized power generation adapted to dense urban environments. Through this pilot, the startup is testing innovative small-scale wind technologies designed to generate renewable electricity locally, making wind energy more accessible within cities.
Developed in partnership with Matosinhos City Council, the initiative explores how urban wind solutions can complement existing renewable infrastructure and contribute to distributed energy systems. By focusing on compact, adaptable installations, the project aims to validate technical performance, integration feasibility, and community impact in real-world conditions.
This pilot reflects a broader ambition to rethink how renewable energy is produced and consumed - bringing generation closer to demand and reinforcing resilience, sustainability, and citizen participation in the energy transition.
