The ISPG seeks to establish a link between the academic and business worlds.
The aim of the ISPG is to develop, transfer and disseminate science and technology applied to the energy industry’s activities, especially oil and gas.
The goal is to boost the competitiveness of the energy industries through the advanced training of technical staff, and the creation of a cooperation network between companies, higher education institutions and other public and private TR&D and industrial innovation entities.

MSc in Oil Engineering
The first Oil Engineering MSc began in 2014, a pioneering initiative in Portugal, developed by ISPG and Galp, together with the Scottish university Heriot-Watt.
This master's degree seeks to promote the advanced training of technical staff, the development of projects that create added value for the consortia in which Galp is involved, and the creation of a cooperation network between consortia, universities and other research bodies in the Oil and Gas sector.
